August 9 was Simon's "First Day of School" for his Grade 12 year. This also makes it his LAST "First Day of School". As always, we documented the occasion and for the seventh year in a row Simon is wearing a different uniform than the previous year! Remarkable really that every year of his Middle and High School his school uniform changed! There were various reasons: new supplier, new colours, new Grade, new school. But this year it is because this is the 20th year of Saigon South International School so a uniform with a new logo and a new blue was commissioned to celebrate.
Tim and Lisa also realized that this is the FIRST of the "LASTS" for them. As Simon progresses through this year it will be a passage of time to the next stage of life without children at home.
This has been a hard year for us because we have been separated from our beloved Max while he attends the University of Waterloo. We were all thrilled to be reunited this summer in Waterloo for 11 fun-filled days while Max was doing his summer coursework.
